 Online or Offline |  Subject: Customized VIEWERS for training log?Has the idea come up to allow only certain people to view/inspire our Training Logs without having to go totally private? |

Champion  13323     Gold member | Subject: RE: Customized VIEWERS for training log? marmadaddy and i discussed this per your post and how best to do this (mostly his ideas)...and yes, it has been mentioned before. the best and simplest solution would be to have a user-created 'white' list just for the 'inspire me's OR for the log veiwing/inspire me as a whole - where the names you have in your log links can also serve as the names for your 'whitelist'...if you check your log as 'whitelisted only', it would only allow those people to see and post in your log...it will be 'private' or 'invisible' anywhere else. people will have to ask you to be part of your list. We have one more feature coming out in next week, planned vs actual, and once that is settled, we plan to tackle these issues and all of the requests that have come in over this year. plus we will go over the log functions and make things easer if needed. |

Champion 13323 Gold member | Subject: RE: Customized VIEWERS for training log? yes the permissions did slightly change from some input i had recieved. currently for anybody to 'go in' to read a persons log public, they have to be registered with a username here. thats how its always been but when we made the bt blogger, it was an oversite by me letting 'guests' go in and view public logs. that was a concern by a few people as they saw their name and a link to there log in google searches...i didnt like that either....so i tightened it down some. |
