I hit a deer today

But my truck is fine.

I was out running tonight around 3:30. My 10 mile loop brings me south of town through a neighborhood that lies at the edge of the hills. I was on the sidewalk on the left side of the road and approaching an area where a gully came up steeply to meet the road. The hill made most of the gully blind from the sidewalk and vice-versa. About 50 yards from that point I start to see some deer run out of the gully and across the road. I keep running and watching the deer. Just as I approached the point where the deer came from two more deer (that I couldn't see, and who didn't see me) bolted out in front of me. The first deer comes right in front and I instinctivly put my hands up to brace the impact. I manage to stop right as I collide with the deer, so it wasn't much of an impact. The deer panics and bolts across the road, luckily not kicking me in the process. The other deer hit the brakes and stopped at the edge of the sidewalk 6" from me. After the first deer bolted, the second deer and I just sat there and stared at eachother for a few seconds before it took off.
