Subject: Cheap personal Pace Clocks or Android Apps?My local 24 hour fitness had the second hand fall off the Pace Clock at the pool months ago and hasn't fixed it yet. I'm thinking of changing Gyms, but neither the Ballys or the LA Fitness has a pace clock either. While one would think that you could get a small digital battery operated pace clcok for your lane, they either don't exist, or are quite expensive. The best option I've found so far is Pace Pal, and it isn't bad for an underwater clock for 139. http://www.mypacepal.com/pace-pal-swimmers-clock.html But I'm wondering if anyone found a cheaper option. I was also thinking I might find a android app that I could wrap my phone in a baggie and prop it up at the end of the lane. Probably not as big as I would want though. Yes, I do have a 310xt, but just glancing up and seeing the time without stopping to look at my wrist seems like a better option. |
