Let's hear it BTers...from a week with not so many good things happening :-(

- Have less pregnancy ahead than behind! Baby is currently estimated to be the size of an eggplant...but it still has a LOT of growing to go (in womb and out!) Have felt pretty steady movements lately...still not super strong, but she reminds me she is there!
- Ultrasound on Monday revealed that suspected abdominal hernia was probably just a pulled muscle - THANK GOODNESS!!
- Went out on a walk 2 days this week and supposed to ride with the junior tri team tomorrow - I will be heading up the back of the slow pack, I'm sure. I have another few weeks OK'ed for on bike (on road) from doctor...
-Had an unplanned afternoon off with hubby yesterday. He texted me and said that one of the supervisors there was trying to get rid of 2 tickets to the Mariners game. We're not huge baseball fans, but it was still fun! They won!! (It was probably the first time in a few months that a beer sounded REALLY good )

Despite the tragedies in the country..it's been a really nice week in our house!

I'm in early stages of training for my first marathon and I have not missed a workout yet.  At the same time my son decided he wanted to get in shape to join 9th grade football.  He goes after school a couple times a week but he also wants to lift weights to get stronger.  I am teaching him and after only a few weeks I decided to get a semi-max (max but only as high as I was comfortable having a 14yr old spot).  I was able to put up a 300lbs bench already so he knows the old man knows what he is doing.  Laughing

After many years of waiting, my favorite band RUSH was finally admitted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame last night! After a tough week, it was a little victory to smile about.

Asalzwed - 2013-04-19 5:13 PM This was my good news:BOSTON MARATHON RACE REPORT

I am still not ready to write mine, but you sum up a lot of my same thoughts.

I am safe and healthy, as are all my friends who were there that day. I got home OK and hugged my kids. The rest is trivial.

Oh one more thing. Philly Tech Week kicks off tonight. A professor at Drexel had programmed the colored lights on the outside of the Cira Center to play the worlds largest video game - Pong. I won the lottery to be a player. Geek city!

I "graduated" out of physical therapy for severe posterior tibial tendonitis! After being in a boot all of January...and twice a week PT since then...it's nice to know I'm making progress. It's not perfect yet, but definitely getting stronger!
