Subject: RE: Florida 70.3 moving????As bad as the run was, I did enjoy the race. Being from NJ, and a huge fan of WDW, the location is a great destination race. My wife and I stayed at WDW til friday after the race. No other 70.3 offered a race/vacation for us. Im sure racers with children, like the fact that there is plenty for the kids to do here. I agree that the run sucked, maybe would be better to loop the run corse thru FT wilderness, to magic kingdom and back. STAY OFF THE CANAL RD'S!!! I hope they keep the race in the aera, maybe Universal/sea world could host the race???
I saw somebody mention that it doesnt make sense to have 2 70.3's in florida....remember the WC race in Nov is invite only. As somebody who will never run fast enough to earn a slot, the WDW race is my only opition.
My big issue with the race was that being from the north, I wasnt prepared for the heat on the run. I plan to move to FL in the next few years. Once we move, thats when I will probably do it again.
Looking at 09, planning to do the Ironman RI 70.3 (close enough to NJ for a weekend trip ), some local OLY's and Ironman florida in nov.
