Subject: MMMM!! My new delicious invention!

I acutally have two purposes to writing this... first is to ask if anyone had tried the new Smart Balance natural peanut butter?  I'm in love with peanut butter, but hate all those bad fats in there... this is suppose to have a bunch of Omega-3s and stuff.  So far I'm liking it a lot, but wondered what others thought/ know of any other good peanut butters out there worth trying? I like that this one you don't have to stir.

Onto my invention.

I'm in a little apt. in summer school right now, so as far as food goes I'm pretty limited.  Lately I've been throwing some things together because three weeks of cereal and turkey sandwiches is getting pretty dull...

Tonight I took a tortilla, spread it with some peanut butter, (and mircowaved for a tiny bit because I looove it all melty), sprinkled cheerios all over it, and then wrapped it up around some apple slices and YUM! Was it good! =]

trinoob18, I'm sorry, that really sounds gross. You want mmm? Take that peanut-butter, a big honkin' 2 tbsp's full, plop it into a mug. Then throw about a cup of vanilla ice cream in there and slather it with Hershey's Syrup. Mix it fast with your spoon to make that delicious creation. In fact, I'm gonna go make myself another one right now! Yum!

Well I think your invention sounds great.  But then again, I'm big on PB and provolone sandwiches.

I don't know... I guess I prefer a peanut butter that is made from just peanuts.
The Smart Blend stuff you mentioned has an ingredient list of: PEANUTS, NATURAL OIL BLEND (FLAXSEED AND PALM OILS), SALT, MOLASSES

I'd rather do without... everything but that first ingredient.
And also, you only have to stir the natural peanut butters once. You pop it in the fridge after stirring it all up and you don't have to stir it ever again.

Imo the best nut butter is almond butter. However, the price is outrageous.

Stirring PB or AB into oatmeal is also good and adds protein to breakfast.

Try Naturally More PB
http://www.naturallymore.com/

I also like spreading a little PB on a piece of chocolate power bar after heating it up in the microwave (caution: 10 seconds at most or you get power bar soup). Or PB on rice cake or with celery.

X2!!!  I've noticed that LOTS of so-called "natural" peanut butters on the store shelves, have added palm oil (ewwwwww!!!)...so I steer clear of those.  I only buy PB that has 1 ingredient...peanuts.  I'm partial to the TJ's brand (Organic Valencia) or the Arrowhead Mills Organic Valencia gluten-free brand (found at Whole Foods).

I recently switched to natural peanut butter.  Tried smuckers first.  It was on the chunky side and a little hard to spread.  Great taste.  The next jar was Krema, this is really smooth, the oil seemed to stay mixed after the first stir.  Taste was good, not as good as the smuckers.

I like to spread my bananas with peanut butter then sprinkle with granola- very filling after workouts.

I bought a jar of smart balance PB once...and I thought it was GROSS.  It tasted like eating one of those fish oil pills...seriously.  I couldn't believe there was a PB I didn't like the taste of...but it exists!

My favorite is maranatha organic...yeah, you have to stir it...but just once!
