FS Outer Banks Races (September)

At this point I'm not sure I have much confidence in this happening, at least the half iron distance.  It doesn't leave much time to get people to sign up.

Brent and the guys need to pass on to the Outer Banks folks that most folks don't plan HIM races on a whim. Beach to Battleship being pushed later in November and Little Washington in October made this Outer Banks race real attractive. Hope this get this together soon.

I've been watching the website daily to see if they open up registration.  I really hope they get it together soon!

Permits have been finalized by the local group in the Outer Banks and registration has opened today!

Anyone know where the swim will be for this, ocean, sound?

FS Sports posted Sound side on FB...I'm still waiting to see what the actual course is going to be... 

Maps are now posted at fsseries.com and I will get back to you on the wetsuit question as soon as I hear!

gee, do ya think the winds will factor in on this course?

Just found out that this event was wetsuit legal the last time it put on (5 or 6 years ago).

Also, wind could be a factor but when we've been down there it hasn't been too bad.....

So I'm not much of a geographer but do those maps confirm sound side?  And does anyone know much about the sound?  I'm really interested in the half.  I was planning on Patriots Half in VA but really like the OBX.  My husband can race on Sunday and the kids can enjoy one last beach trip.
