Subject: Traing Log not updating
When I try to download my 310 to my training log all I get transfer complete, but it does not display my workout in the drop down box.

I have the latest software version on my 310, I think it is version 2.90

When I try to upload the data, the system identifies my Garmin, then I press get data and it starts getting the data until it says transfer complete and then no data appears for me to select and upload.

I checked garmin training center and all of my workoutss are there, so I know the workouts have transfered.

If the workouts don't show in the dropdown list, it's generally because of a date setting. I confirmed that your date setting in your training log is correct. Can you confirm that the date on your computer is correct?

Also, make sure that you reset the 310 after each workout.

I checked the time settings on my computer and it is corect. Also turned on the 310 and made sure it also had the right time. It does say transfer complete but the but the status bar never goes all the way to the end, it stops about an 1/8" of an inch from the end.

Fixed it! I had to go and delete the older (.tcx) files.

I am having the same problem. I can upload to SportTracks and Garmin Training Center without any issues but BT doesnt upload.

Assuming that you're using Windows, the tcx files will be located here: 

C:\Users\[user name]\AppData\Roaming\GARMIN\Devices\[device]\History

Depending on which model you have, you may to delete some workouts from the device. The 305 in particular has problems if you don't delete workouts. I keep no more than 30 days of workouts on my 305.

Take a look at the post above. If that doesn't work, post some more detail here:

-Garmin Model  
-Operating system and version
-Browser and version 
-Exactly what happens (click button x, it shows screen y etc.)

Ok, so I have a 310xt with Windows XP and have the latest firmware update for the garmin and the latest download for the garmin ANT agent. I tried to find C:\Users ... but can't find any files/folders with that name. I don't think that I set up the garmin to send the files to a different location, but not sure. Sorry, but I'm just very computer illiterate.

As far as the problem, when I go to import data into my training log - just like Cajuntriguy, I get the screen that says Receiving data, and then it says Transfer complete. The progress bar, however, never makes it to the end and nothing else happens. I never get the option to upload data to my training log. I have erased my data off the watch, and all of the info is visible on garmin connect.

Sounds like I need to erase these old .tcx files (I assume these are backups of the data that I log), but I just can't find them.

It sounds like the workout files were either already deleted or are corrupt. My 310xt and all of my Garmin software are up to date and I uploaded a workout from it a few hours ago.

To locate the files in XP:

C:\Documents and Settings\user\Application Data\GARMIN\Devices\Devicenumber\History

The file will be named with the date and a six digit number like "2010-07-28-163543.TCX".

You should also check C:\Documents and Settings\user\Application Data\GARMIN\Devices\Devicenumber\BadFitFiles
This is where corrupted files are stored.
