Tyson Gay,  looked good in the first heat of the 100m.   I just hope his legs don't cramp up.

Will he anchor the 4 x 100m Relay?

I must admit I keep forgetting that that is a guys actual name.  I felt pretty bad when I went to ESPN and saw a title to a story that read "Gay trying to break 100m world Record".  My first thought was what does their sexuality have to do with anything.  I totally had a blonde moment on that one.  The sad thing is it has happened twice to me now.

OT: Did anybody notice the edges of his singlet? The edges are sort of shiny, as if they were sealed with plastic or something.. A new clothing innovation to reduce chafing?

I noticed it too.  Looks plastici. 

Also, I think Tyson is going for either silver or bronze.  Bolt looks just to strong and fast....

I predict the Jamacians will go 1-3 and Gay will sneak in for the silver.  I have a feeling he's not running all out during these preliminary rounds to save himself for the finals.

Looks like he won't be gold, silver or bronze since he failed to qualify for the final.  Guess his leg is still not completely healed even though he says it feels 100%.
