Subject: RE: Bike p0rn---I am Legend!Rick: You're right about the spacers. I dunno... It's 1 1/8" of stack. It does seem like alot, yet the bike fits well. Maybe it screws up the HTA it put a longer tube on there? The fit feels good though.
Kathy: I went SRAM for a change. Shimano is nice and all, but I like the change and the single lever of the SRAM is nice. One tap for up 1 cog, sweep in a bit more for down 1 and sweep full to drop 3 cogs. Very crisp, very intuitive. The brake lever stays put. The front shifting is extremely nice! Very quick and reliable by comparison.
It took 5 weeks for delivery. Frame was shipped in 4 and a week for the shop to build it (I begged off the build for this bike: Too busy ).
Jyles: This is pure roadie: I have the TT/Tri bike for race day. No aerobars.
Kim: Your avitar is almost as scary as mine : )
No more compact for me. Straight 53x39 regular crankset and a 12-26 cassette. I didn't like the compact as much as my old triple where I never really used the granny. Hence, I decided to go back to conventional chainrings since I wasn't really relying on the crutch of the compact anyway. Edited by pitt83 2008-10-26 7:20 PM
