Writing on your hands/forearms....

Why would there be rules against it? As long as it doesn't interfere withth body markings.

My wife, when doing marathons for a charity in the past, has listed on her arm 26 cancer victims/survivors that she personally knew , and checked off one every mie.

i sort of do this - but for training rides/runs with complicated intervals where i wouldnt be able to remember them.  this is mostly because i have a hard time remembering anything while i bike/run myself into the ground.

but motivational quotes and stuff seems like a better use of ink on your arms.

I've done similar with a good friend who's recently passed - I've written his badge# (he was a cop) under my race #, on tape on my aero's, etc ... hugely inspirational and really kept me going strong.

I write my workouts and hr zones on my arm all the time for rides and runs.  That way I don't have to bring my brain along.

X5 that's really really cool

I have a picture of my then 12 month old son sitting in my wife's lap having a bottle before bed taped to the top tube of my road bike - keeps me going on those long road rides when I feel worn out. My plan was to add another pic of him for each MS150 ride/triathlon I do (I'd be up to three, and my first tri is Aug. 22nd, which would be 4!), but for some reason, I like that single pic. It always reminds me of what's REALLY important, and that motivates me more than anything.
