Subject: RE: Wilson 100 - Sunday, 8.30.09AtlantaBill - 2009-08-24 1:44 PM I'm in. Most of my cycling buddies are doing the 100, some the 65.
I'm training for Augusta 70.3. It makes more sense for me to ride 65 or 54, then run for an hour. Right?
I know, I know. But for some reason I'd rather ride 5 hours, than ride 3 hours and run for an hour.
I guess that's the difference in having the discipline to train smart -- using your head. Instead of "doing what you feel like doing", which some days is sitting on the couch.
Which should I do? 100, or 65 and a run?
Bill Bill I am also doing Augusta. Due to the work I am able to run in the morning and at lunch so my running milage is not suffering. I will be doing the century. I did the 70.3 route on the 15th and feel that the century would be more beneficial than a split (unless you need the run milage ) It is such a flat run course the century will be much better for you. |
