Subject: Felt bike sizing

I am looking at getting a Felt bike for next season and found some good deals on ebay but cant seem to find a size chart so I know which size bike I should buy. I am almost 5'7"

I was considering running over to a bike shop and sitting on one and getting an idea and then get the bike on ebay.

Anyone have any info for me?

I just recently bought an S22, I'm 5'5" and wound up with a 54cm. Apparently my torso is longer which made this bike fit much better than one of the smaller frames they originally thought I needed. Don't know if that helps or not....

They print their frame geometry on their website.  See what size you need based on this.   If you still don't know, it is better to stick with buying bikes you can ride.

I'm 5'8" and my 54cm 2006 S32 fits well.  3 spacers on the stem, soon to be 2.

I'm 5'7 as well, and I ride a size 50 S32. I was fitted for both, but liked the feel of the 50 better than the 52. You will have to settle for 650cc wheels on the 50 though

5'-7" and they have you on a 50???  Who the heck fit you to the bike, Gidgit????

Your body must have a weird proportion or something.  I'd like to see a pic. of you on it and then could give you my opinion on whether it is the right size for you or not (former mechanic and salesmen).

I was told by a reputable fitter that Felts run large. A Felt 58cm might feel like a slightly larger Cervelo or Quintana. Maybe not quite a 60cm, but it would feel like it is at 59cm or somewhere in between.

Detailed sizings are overrated. Any good bike dealer who is worth their salt can tell you by taking one look at you which size you should be looking at. Walk into a dealer and ask. Once you get the bike, definately get it fitted perfectly. While the sizing (54 vs. 56 vs. 58) can be done in seconds by someone who knows their stuff, the fitting is worth finding someone good and paying them $100.

I recently bought a B2 and it is a 52. I am 5'5". My shop had to replace the stem with a shorter one and it is a good fit. I could have possibly gone with the 50, but I did not want the 650's. I am very satisfied with my fit.

I went to a shop and got measured and was told that a Felt would fit me best because I have a long torso.  A friend and I are the same height but he rides a Cervelo P2SL 54cm, myself a Felt S22 56cm.  Felts are longer on the top tube compared to some other bikes, so I was told...

Have someone who is certified to fit you to your bike. Preferably a FELT dealer (use the "Find a Dealer" button on their webpage) so you can have several size bikes at your disposal for fitting. I would say that even if you had to drive and hour or more it would be worth finding a place that can fit you to your bike. A few hours or maybe a day sacrificed is worth several years of enjoyment and the comfort of knowing you got the right setup underneath you. Some people (elites, pros, and ppl with too much money mainly) will even hope on a plane and fly across the country just to be fitted by a certain someone. The point is that being fitted is very important not only to help you feel comfortable on your bike and make sure you get the right one but also to help you generate as much power as possible and to prevent injury over the long term. Most dealers will fit you for free on bikes that are over the $1k or so mark anyway so you may as well take advantage.

As far as ebay goes, I've ordered many things off there before but don't know if I'd be comfortable ordering a bike. On the upside, even if you did order off ebay and get close, most fitters have enough adjustments at their disposal to get you close even if you don't get the exact frame you needed.

Happy hunting and enjoy the experience and your new purchase.

Or maybe I'm just being too generous at 5'7"

I was fitted on a 52 road bike, and I've always heard that you tend to ride a smaller tri bike than a road bike. Anyway, here's where I got the bike:

Based on the posts here, it would seem wise to actually get on the bike before buying...I ride (and love) a 56cm S22 and I'm 5'5". My husband rides a 56cm S32 and he's 5'9" - and honest, we both fit our bikes well...

I'm 5'8" and I ride a 52 cm Felt road bike. But I am all legs. I was fitted for a 51 cm Cervelo P2C. I tried a 54 Cervelo, but was way too stretched out in the aero bars. You should really get fitted in person (even if you buy elsewhere) because going by what's on paper may not work with your physique.

Lol, I thought I was the one who find it weird that 5'-7" then offered for 50. Can't imagine what kind of training does the salesman have. On point bro. Though it was an old convo, just find it interesting
