Good morning everyone!  Staying home from work this morning.  Haven't slept well for days and it's catching up to me.  Might go to work this afternoon.  Maybe.

If I'm up to it, either a swim or run this evening.

And I just noticed I have a little green star by my posts.  Woohoo!  It's like elementary school all over again!

I'm working from home because my wife is sick.  I have two conference calls today though.

Yuck.

I'm getting a WAMP virtual PC all set up to do WordPress MU development, and waiting for my service request to show up in my inbox so I can go modify it to make me not responsible for it, and drinking some hot coffee to cut the scum running down the back of my throat, and trying not to cough too much so as to annoy my cube neighbors, and thinking a strength workout sounds about my speed today, and worrying about telling my PT guy that I did 2 runs with no walking.

Thank you for that graphic description of your throat, Deanna.  Have you been taking lessons from Aidana?

I have been here for about a half hour and there is absolutely nobody in the office.  Am I suppose to be here?  Is the office closed and I wasn't told?  That would be about par for the course this week.  I feel like Eyore.

After getting two kids up, lunches made, fed breakfast and on the bus, I'm finally at work. After being out of the office all day yesterday, I have a stack of messages and work waiting for me. Maybe I'll just go back to bed. Also I still need a costume for Discovery run. This is getting critical. Oy.

How did your foot feel after those two runs?  Were you too busy coughing to notice?

Deanna - now that throat sounds awful.  I recommend going home and getting right back into bed for the day.  No need to keep bother your cubicle neighbors.  Ahhhhhh, warm bed, maybe some hot tea.....!

Well, they were super short (10 minutes and 13 minutes), but the foot felt no worse for the wear. I wrapped it once (which didn't work so great because it make the outside of my foot annoyed) and taped the arch the second time (which seemed to work well) and did an ice bath for the foot right afterwards and then stuck my foot in the boot for the rest of the night. But, there was no noticeable change in pain levels afterwards. So, I think I'm okay. I'm just sort of going against direct orders, and you know how I hate getting scolded....

Home schmome. It's so much more fun to infect all my coworkers.

Seriously, I've been sick for a week and a half now - I can't imagine I'm still contagious.

Sssshhhhh, I'm actually feeling a wee bit better now (don't tell the germs though - I'm fairly certain they're ready to pounce at a moment's notice).

I just saw about 20 of Milwaukee's finest riding down the street on their bicycles.  Wonder what the heck they are doing.
