Thought this could come in handy for some people.  Especially the use of a dust pan to fill a bucket that's too big for your sink.

Big Appa - 2012-12-27 8:17 AM Don't get married.

Is that an overall tip or just a 2013 tip?

Don't get married.

If I don't, who will wash the dishes?

Pretty neat tricks, some of which I've known/done before. I've used the freeze-the-partially-filled-water-bottle trick for cycling bottles for a decade now, we always have a bottle in the freezer ready to go. If you freeze it horizontally, though, it will freeze-lock the cap so it can't be unscrewed to be filled. I set mine at 30-45 degrees from horizontal so the liquid doesn't touch the cap.

Filtering e-mail by the word "unsubscribe" is brilliant. I've been trying to clean that crap out - and I'm sad to say I didn't think of that on my own!

If you put your earbuds in your nose and open your mouth, the sound will play out of your open mouth.
…or so I hear.
I can’t really think of a scenario where this would be valuable, but it’s a neat trick.
Again, so I hear.

Need to try this for the kids when I get home tonight. They'd love it.

A few of them seem pretty silly - use an old CD/DVD spindle case to carry my bagels? Re-use a ketchup bottle to dispense my pancake mix?

I kind of like the idea of putting the baggie of vinegar over the shower heads. Right now, I just take them off and soak them. Of course, then you have to remember to take the baggie off, or you will get hit with a bag of vinegar when you turn on the shower.

The USB on the TV to charge your phone seems silly - I keep a small power strip with my suitcase, so I can plug all my stuff in and not worry about outlets. A better "hack" would have been something I heard on a podcast recently - most hotels have boxes of chargers that people have left behind. Forgot your charger? Just go to the front desk and ask for one of the "spares" they have.
