We burned the designs for the Saturn 5 during some document control exercise in the 1980s and haven't developed a better or even comparable one since. ETA- Sorry if I'm just repeating the article. I just read about NASA throwing out the Saturn plans in a "Spring cleaning exercise" in Bill Bryson's "A Short History of Nearly Everything" so you aren't the only one who thought they were gone. |
