Subject: Enhanced HR data bug

I can only enter in single-digits in the "seconds" field when entering my HR data.  Moreover, the field appears to be the "one's" digit, because when I graph the entry it corresponds to x minutes and less-than-10-seconds on the graph, no matter what is entered.

It would be good to allow EITHER hh:mm:sec as a format or mm.(decimalseconds), since my software reports everything in decimal format.  Just another thought

Ron, care to have your guru's look at this?

Thanks!

Paul

I'm noticing single digit for seconds for the bike entries. Run is fine.

Also, all the previous enchanced hr data that I had once entered is now gone. (I guess because the format of the fields changed.)

Got it.  I have replicated that bug.  We'll get it taken care of.

amg,

I see you have 2 run and cycle HR zones created on 7/07/2006. One of them may be an anomaly from the data conversion.

In looking at your training log, you haven't logged enhanced HR data since September 5th, 2006...is this correct?  I DO SEE that you have several logged cycle and run HR zones back until 7/07/2006-that seem to work and shows the data via the graphs.

BUT I also see you have logged enhanced HR data before 7/07/2006 although the data is empty.

When we changed this a few days ago, we had to convert all hh:mm:ss data to decimal minutes so we could graph this.  Mike memtioned that some data had to be 'discarded' as it didn't follow the old format (non numerical, etc)...this was perhaps the problem...

Regardless, I will have him investigate.

IF you can tell us how many run and bike HR zones you had created before the 7/7/06,  that would be great, and also how far back they went.  We then may be able to reconstruct it if it existed.

amg, we still have all the old data. It was moved for the new stuff, and the format was changed in the new place but the old stuff is still there.

the conversion to the new format may have missed yours. I'll look into it.

amg, I'm seeing the HR zone data from March to Sept of 2006 in the training log and graphs.

Can you tell me where you're looking and the dates for the data isn't showing up?

Hi Ron and Mike.

I have entered enhanced HR data for almost every bike and run since March 12. All data would conform to the h:mm:ss format, since I just copy/paste from the Polar software.

I have 2 sets of HR zones for July 7 because of a bug that day. I tried editing the zones and then I tried creating a new zone. Then some one there fixed the problem, and it was fine after that. See this post: http://www.beginnertriathlete.com/discussion/forums/thread-view.asp...

The HR zones from July 7 would be the ones I've used since Mar 12.

In the "blog" view, many entries no longer show the "Enhanced HR data" link that used to be there. When I click on "Edit log", I often do not see the extra HR data, even if there is a link.

Recent entries (since the conversion) seem to have the data there but no link.

It's not a big deal for me - I have all the data still, and I can get the summary graphs from the Polar software.

Thanks.

It also appears to not accept ANY digits in the hours part....

My ride on 30 Sep I have tried twice to input an hours digit in each of the first three zones and it turns me down!!!   It lets me type it, but then when I return to my blog and click on the enhanced HR data, those three hours do not appear in the blog.

It'll be fixed tomorrow.  Thanks for the heads-up on the hours input, that is new information.

OK GANG,

  1. We fixed the 'single digits' in the seconds feild
  2. We fixed the 'hours' input issue (wasn't working for jldcarlos big bike ride)
  3. We fixed the issue where there was a 'no show' for 'Enhanced HR data' link in workouts IF you left zone 1 as '0' (no loged time for zone 1)
  4. Small change, in individual workouts, ONLY the graph button will take you to the graphs (performance members), the 'Enhanced HR data' text link will go to a chart of your zone info so free members can still log this data and acess it.

I verified that the 'Graph It' correctly sums up all of the individual logged zone data of that HR zone.

So we have the main issues tackled.

-jldcarlo, can you re-enter your bike zones for September 30th and verify that it works?
-amg, once it's verified that we have this operating properly, we will finish your log issue.
-tpetersen and grems, double-check and re-input your data for the 'seconds' place.

Let me know what else.  Whew....(tip-toeing off)

Um, it takes it...but remind me how to get the pretty graphs again?  When I click on HR data I just get a summery of numbers.

If you click on the words 'Enhanced HR Data' you get a tabular summary. Clicking on the graph icon will bring you to the graph.
