No! NONONONONO! There is no "qualifying" for longer distance races!
It will be harder to train without a big race goal, and I'm not sure how it will be. I'm also playing soccer this fall, so that will be a fun diversion. Maybe find some organized sport that you enjoy to get involved in? Hope that helps...
Yeah; I was going to suggest sports, or group runs/rides. Look, off-season sports are not "diversions" from tri; just like rest is the fourth discipline for tri training, learning to take productive time off from training is important to helping you improve when you come back to the sport.
I still don't know why we're talking about the off-season already, there's plenty of races still to go. I'm only halfway through my season . . . |
