 2 |  Subject: My First Post on my First TriHi everyone, I am Irish, living in Italy hoping to complete my first Tri in September!! I just wanted to introduce myself and compliment the community on such a great resource for beginners, I will hopefully get my training log and everything sorted out in the next couple of days. I have already been training for about 6 weeks, Last Sunday I did 40kms on the bike and felt fantastic, only 8 months ago I was smoking 40 cigarettes a day, and eating and smoking myself into an early grave, now I can cycle 40kms and I was still ready for more!! Today I am going out tosee how far my fitness has improved in relation to running, trying 6ks, if I make it back ill post tomorrow and let you know how I did!! I wish I were there right now instead of waiting for a snow storm in Canada! I'll be going over there, Venicia, Firenze, Sienna, Cortona, Assize and then up to Trieste for a few weeks in May/June. I won't be doing any tries when I'm there but I would like to rent a road bike and do a bit of cycling in the wine regions. |
