Subject: RE: Looking for a 70.3 in OctoberI did Augusta HIM (September 26th ) last year. It is a good late season "Ironman" branded event. It may be a bit further south than you want. quick overview at Augusta: swim - very fast, you are in a river with a decent current. I finished 15min sooner than i predicted. bike - good rolling hills, nothing to steep or vicious. run - very, very, very flat. its a double loop course downtown and spectators can get to see you/ cheer you on 8 - 10 times during your run. I am signed up for the Half Full (October 3rd ) tri just south of Baltimore, MD. ( http://www.halffulltri.org) Its for a good cause and will cost only $170 for the entry fee (vs $225 for Ironman ) and the fee will go entirely to the Ulman Cancer Fund. Its an inaugural event but I don't think the course is overly demanding. Edited by bullyboy 2010-04-29 10:15 AM
