Subject: Classified: Job Needed

None of my fellow employees or bosses read this forum btw:

For hire: Hard working triathlete (does cute help?) Excellent computer skills especially the internet, and a great multi-tasker and screen minimizer. Very productive and loves to work hard and works best under pressure and with overwhelming projects. Early riser, will often be in the office before you, around 7am, but likes be leave by 5pm. Hours negotiable. Will sometimes smell like chlorine or come in with dirty hair but this does not affect performance. Will use vacation days mostly on Mondays and Fridays to travel to races. Please ignore all the gym bags under my desk and the ice on my knee. Triathelte works best in a private office but a cube will do.

Available immediately.

Where's the guy (I forgot who) that quit without another job lined up? How's that working out?

Nothing in there about burritos, or wahoo, or changing tires, or which sororities shunned you in college.

Seriously, what do you do?

Because I'm being serious (or as serious as I can be on this forum).

Burritos: freebirds is the best.
Changing tires: everyone does it, if they don't they're lying
Sororities: I was asked to join more than one but I don't buy friends I had no interest.

My title is Executive Assistant (assistant to the owner/ceo and cfo) and AR. 80% of my job is handling incoming money (don't want to get too specific-well about the amounts that is) and allocating it to accounts/invoices for the whole company. Normal business work, tracking money, payments, invoices we need to bill, with company meeting & party planning, and personal banking for my boss on the side. I do it all.

Right on Janelle!!! Casual attire is a plus, but not a deal breaker. I'd rather not spend my $ on business attire.

Hmmm...I know that a well-known online tri shop is looking to hire some full-time customer service people.  You'd have to move to Tucson though.

Two words:  employee discount.

Yeah, but you could be the envy of the soup kitchen with a set of Zipp wheels on your shopping cart.

Comet....what area of Texas are you looking at, and what type of company do you want to work for?  Feel free to PM any details, including salary requirements, etc.  I've got a couple friends who are recruiters.

Just a hint, but all those nice little comments about "I don't buy friends" referring to the greek system, you may want to hold back until after you get your next job. Most recruiters, bosses, hiring managers and the people who probably tell you currently what to do, probably were in the greek system.

Maybe Comet needs to modify her ad to include "will not work for/with Greeks- GDI's is a must!."

I don't go around telling people my views on the Greek system, it came up in a thread so I posted my opinion. Being in the greek system doesn't make you any better than me, I made the decision not to join and my current and 2 ex bosses weren't greek either. I don't judge people who choose to go greek its just not for me. Get over yourself.
