1st Wedding anniversary gift ideas

My wife and I have never exchanged a single gift....no anniversary, birthday, mothers day/ fathers day,valentines day....nothing.  We have occasionally gone out to dinner/drinks/movie on some of the events, but that's it.  Neither of us feel like we've missed anything. Just another POV.

My wife is a pretty great artist so she took a wedding picture of us kissing right after saying our vows and redrew it by hand on a piece of papyrus type paper and framed it.  I love that picture.

If you're not an artist you could have one do it.

There's websites that you can upload your pictures and turn them in to pretty decent looking books. I made one of our kids for my wife last year and she got all weepy. It's ridiculously easy to do. Once you upload the photos, you can pick from standard page layouts, crop the pics, add text, etc.  I used blurb.com, there's a few others out there.  

Good call going with the traditional gifts.  When women re-wrote the list for modern days, they bumped diamonds up from 75th to 10th.  Greedy broads.  

I got some jewelry and I love it. He saved some money and went to some antique stores, resale shops and found a lady who bought estate jewelry. If she likes jewelry, you can find something really unique at one of those types of stores, but not everyone appreciates that kind of thing. I'm also not a 'Macy's' chain store kind of person. At one of those kinds of stores you might be able to find some kind of art print in an old frame, it's a stretch, but the canvas or paper can be your 'paper'. 

 I think I got him something to uphold the 'paper' theme, but I have no idea what it was. Do not remember. Heh.

If you hadn't gotten the treadmill already, I would suggest tickets: plane (trip), boat, etc. Any concerts or shows coming up in the next couple of months she might like? 

You could get the wedding certificate framed or a newspaper from the day you got married - there are heaps of ideas.
