Regular![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() I have my endurance fishing day set for Thursday. We will be hitting the streams of Western Wisconsin all day chasing pretty browns, with a brief mid-day break to repair my deer stand, and no the running shoes are staying home! Should leave the river well after dark, and thanks for the reminder on the bug spray! Good Luck, Jay |

Expert ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() Only 10 Hours. I've spent 10 hours getting to the fishin' hole. ![]() Nice job on the specks and reds. Fishing is one thing I miss about FL, but I've found hunting is a nice replacement. |

I always bring a buddy that runs slower than me. |

Veteran ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() LOL… Love the part about the mosquitoes. Like they say, there is no negotiation with a insect that wants your blood.. I’m going to follow the lead here and say “where’s the pics?” Cheers. Rice. PS. How big is a big Speck down that way. I did most of my speck in northern Ontario. This was my bigest.. Can't recall the weight.. It was from ice fishing. Edited by rice 2005-09-13 10:43 AM (Bigest.jpg) Attachments ---------------- Bigest.jpg (41KB - 7 downloads) |

Regular![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() We're working (Trout Unlimited) with the state DNR and the folks in Ontario to restore the specks in Superior. Just have to get rid of the Kamloops-Introduced and became more of a problem. So if you like 5 pound rainbows, come on down this fall, take them home, and help restore the native fish! Good Luck, Jay |

Elite ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() Caught a few more specs today, all too small to keep. A nearby boat hauled in a monster redfish. He said 29", but it looked like Fishzilla to me. |

Regular![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() It's Monday and I'm just getting back to the answer. I didn't see the river on Thursday. On Wednesday, my phone didn't stop ringing at the office, which after the last two years, is a great problem. I will be hard pressed to get out one or two more times before the season ends and instead of sitting in my deerstand Sat morning for the Archery deer opener, I was sitting in my office. Of course, I'm now in a much better position to justify that new QR bike I have my eye on, but I'll have to hire some more people so I can ride it. I did hear from my budy that I was to fish with, and he did go. The early morning was great, lots of action on hoppers he caught 10 real nice browns right away, then it got hot, too hot for trout, and he went and did some landowner relations for Trout Unlimited in the afternoon. BAsically going around to farmers and asking if they had any problems with the fisherman in the streams running through their property, and this will always get you a beer or two on the porch. So he had a great day as well. Good Luck, Jay |
