Am

first bike and walk session (heading to first ever sprint!)

Bike 2 miles (as per program ) in 5 mins. This was way too easy for me – I will have to up this on the next session.

Walk – 20 mins for a mile – bored out of my tiny mind!! Have to do something to liven this up. I could go further or I could change to a walk jog pattern. However I’m overweight, have no cartilage or knee lining in one knee and and just recovering from 2 broken tioes. So this isn’t an area I need to rush yet!!

PM

Going swimming – feeling good and did 250yards on Sunday – looking to up that to 275 / 300 or just keep going for 20 mins.

The biking and swimming I don’t mind.

5 km trail run in the snow with my dog. Recovering from the flu, felt like my heart was in my throat. Got home and lay on the floor for a while. I need to start thinking about getting ready for work 4 to 12 shift.

I also got an email from Danny Chew, of Race Across America fame. He sent out an email to the Yahoo Race Across America newsgroup promoting an article about him. So I sent him an email promoting an article by me about me. http://www.xtri.com/article.asp?id=1063
Then he sent me an email back with some cycling advice.

55 min cycle on my turbo trainer this evening. Tried out some of the music recommended by various people here and had a kicking hour.......until my wife came home and complained about the dreadful racket!!!

Where did I leave that mp3 player and headphones.......

Turned into a rest day. Which I suppose isn't a bad thing per say. Although I really wanted to get out there and do something today. Especially since I new I had a big dinner coming up....
