It talks of eating so many grams per half hour during a race. I'll have to look up you rice ball recipe. I typically eat rice and chicken right up to a race. Seems to help a million fold over a powerbar. thx Potato and rice are both good starchy sources of carbs... both are a good place to start if you're looking for something natural that isn't sugary and is easy to digest. Boil small red potatoes, peel, roll them in a little olive oil and something salty - parmesan cheese or whatever. Wrap in aluminum foil and you have a good snack for long rides. |
