Subject: RE: Garmin Fenix 2Hello everybody, I just registered on this amazing forum.
I am just now getting into Triathlon.
I agree with Louis, and just bought a Fenix 3 bundle over the Fenix 2 since the price difference was of about 120€.
After quickly setting it up I used it yesterday for a short bike ride and it really seems a great tool for training....
As it is very similar to the Fenix 2 I wanted to ask a few questions to you guys that have benn using it for some time.
What do you think of it's accuracy regarding real time speed and total distance when using it for bike rides.
I had the impression that speed is not that precise, especially climbing and/or when you are in a wooded area for example.
Maybe next time I will use it together with my Polar with speed sensor to check it out....
Perhaps activating GLONASS might help?
If I want to see the steepness of the road, do I have to use "grade" or "glide ratio"?
Also I read in the manual about 3D distance and speed option, but I can't quite figure it out.
Is it worth activating this function?
Regarding swimming in an outdoor pool, I imagine you should use "pool swim", and in this case the gps would not be enabled to measure distance, correct?
Thanks to all!
