Good morning Ghoulies!

I did not get a lot of sleep last night. The puppy was good, but he's in our room so when I did sleep it was very lightly. I didn't want him to wake everyone else.

He wasn't happy about our lab mix yesterday but the two are getting along great now. They are both sleeping behind a bush out in the yard. I sat out there and watched them play for an hour. It was fun to watch them.

I may try a short run this evening, try to unwind so I can sleep.

I found out last night that a couple I know, both have been runners forever, are running the hm in Sept that I'm running. They've run it all 10 years that the event has been going on. They just started tri's last year, too. Pretty cool.

Going to go start something for lunch. Not sure what yet.

Have a good day.

Morning Ann!  Puppies are a lot of work, but they sure are a lot of fun, too!  We are really enjoying ours.  She is now 5 months old and a whole 10 lbs.  LOL  But boy can she hold her own with our 75 lb. lab mix!

Have a great day!  Hope you rest better tonight.

Hi there my Ghouligans.  Hope everyone's weekend is shaping up nicely.  Yesterday's run was comfortable weatherwise, but my legs were pooped afterwards.  I do love my compression tights!  Oh, and I should mention some of the noteworthy sights spotted along my route.  In addition to the usual bikers, runners, etc I saw a snake, a 3 legged dog, some tightie whities and a leopard print thong (guess they were in a hurry.)

Today was an easy swim followed by a trip to the farmers market and a run to Target.  I also picked up the bike shoes I ordered last week.  Laundry is done and it looks like rain, so I think I may throw in a movie and see if I can stay awake.

Speaking of odd things seen on the road, yesterday I saw a guy out for a run in Chuck Taylor high tops. My feet hurt just watching that, but he was trucking along pretty well.

Happy Sunday to you as well Kim!

I just had a nice run of my own out here. It was my first time doing hills in a while. I didn't realize it had been so long. Between the hills and the midday heat it was a very good workout. Now it's shower time followed by laundry time. Woot!

Ghoulies!!!

I FINISHED!!! 5:58:06 5th in AG!! YAAA!! (my age group is small...but I dont care...19 I think...haha)...edged out of fourth by like 30 seconds or something...grr...

I more or less broke down the last 2km...it was pretty much a death march...I was shaking like no other when I crossed the finish line and they brought medical over to make sure I wasn't dying/having a seizure/hyponatremic/hypoglycemic/hypovolemic shock...basically...haha...I'm pretty sure I was having a crossed emotion situation between laughing/crying/"ow I am in pain"/hyperventilating. No big deal. Anyways...I was fine...a little bit zoned out...but fine.

I'm still a bit zoned out...not gonna lie. Haha

Hi ghoulies!  I'm glad to make it in on page 1.

Looks like a lot has been going on around here.  Melindy had an awesome race, Ann got a new dog, Bill's contemplating getting a real bike , Kim went running after fornication Friday.  Anything else I missed in my week away?

I've done a lot of napping today.  Trying to rest and heal up.  Hoping to run tomorrow and get back biking later in the week.  Swimming is off the table for awhile until I'm a little less road rashy and regain full movement of my right shoulder.  Thanks for all of the ghoulie healing juju!  It seems to be working

I certainly hope so. Sounds like one heck of a crash. I hope you're able to heal up quickly and get back into your normal routine. I hope your Sunday continues to be nice and restful.

wgraves7582 - 2010-08-01 5:16 PM Alright Ghoulies - the bike was fast until I loaded my backpack up with fresh blueberries, peaches, nectarines, tomatoes, squash, zucchini, and eggplant on the way home from the market!

I was at 19.0 mph avg with some nice hill climbs in and then dropped to 16.7 avg with even more hill climbs on the way home - oh well I still think the felt would be faster!

I took Blue Betty to the market today.  I scored tomatoes, peaches, corn and blueberries.  I'm pretty sure I averaged single digits.  Ding, Ding.
