Swim
Comments: Time includes getting out of the pool and running down a hall outside over a matt (maybe 20-30 seconds?) Pretty good swim. I would have liked to go maybe 15 or 20 seconds faster but I'll take it. Goggles were fogging up pretty bad by the end of it so I couldn't watch the pace clock. What would you do differently?: Remember the magic anti-fog mix I left at home. Transition 1
Comments: Struggled to get the tri-top on. I meant to practice swimming with it but left it too late and I didn't dare try swimming with it for the first time during the race. Probably lost about 20 seconds fighting with it. What would you do differently?: Practice swimming with the tri-top on before the race. Bike
Comments: Time includes T1 Pretty good leg I think. The course was very wet with puddles all over the place from the rain but it didn't bother me. I went pretty hard but not so hard as to kill myself. What would you do differently?: Nothing Transition 2
Comments: Struggled with the socks this time - almost just skipped them but thought that might be a bad idea. Probably lost another 20 seconds here. Other than that, it was ok. What would you do differently?: Learn to run sockless Run
Comments: Time includes T2 Pretty much what I would have expected based on the amount of running I have done in the last two months. The hills really killed me. What would you do differently?: Not get hurt and run more beforehand. Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster: My sloooooow running ability. Last updated: 2010-05-31 12:00 AM

My wave didn't start until 11:40 so I had lots of time in the morning. Didn't wake up until 7:30, had a coffee and breakfast and just relaxed. Went to the site around 10:00am. Registered and then talked to Jeremy for a bit until his wave went off at 11:05. I then racked my bike and put the gear out. It was still raining lightly at this point so I tried to cover things up a bit.
Tried to loosen up while the previous wave was swimming then once we could get in the water, I did about 300m warmup. Water temp was a little cool but good for racing.
