Would it be possible to add something in the training log that would enable me to record my average cadence on the bike?

Good idea. I'm all for it, especially considering the fact that I got a new cyclocomputer with cadence for Fathers Day. I've added it to the To-Do list. 

For now, I'd recommend recording it in the Bike Comments section.
