Swim
Comments: My best swim. PR for the course. I still can't swim straight, but it was much better than normal. My watch had me swimming 2,236 instead of the marked 2112 What would you do differently?: navigate better Transition 1
Comments: Slow transition, I struggled taking my suit off. It was caught on my ankles. Everything else went well. Because it was cold, I put 2 hand warmers inside of my jersey, so it was warm when I put it on.I was a good guy in transition. After struggling to get my wet suit off, the guy next to me was having trouble, so I did my best stripper imitation and helped the guy next to me pull his wetsuit off What would you do differently?: Glide on my ankles Bike
Comments: Great ride a PR on this course. I did change my drink and mix 2 frog fuels in two water bottles. I think the extra protein.helped me to sustain a strong bike. I very happy with the results What would you do differently?: Ride faster. Transition 2
Comments: Good transition. Had one gel. What would you do differently?: I couldn't get the zipper open on my jersey, so I couldn't take an ibuprofen. Run
Comments: Good run. I'm very happy with it. This was also a PR for the course. I didn't take anything on the course, just used what was at aid stations. I had a cramp in my inner thigh about 1.5 miles in. Stretched it and got to the aid station. I drank gator aid and ate a pickle, it was all good after that. What would you do differently?: Probably not. Post race
Warm down: I ate a lot of watermelon. They had cold watermelon at the finish, and I couldn't eat enough of it. My guess 10 pieces and two bottles of iced tea. What limited your ability to perform faster: fitness. Event comments: It is my favorite race!. I love the bike course. The water is crystal clear, and the city is one of the best places to visit. Ate a banana, 6oz OJ, Carrot Cake Muffin, large coffee, I GU 15 minutes prior., The guy who normally gives the blessing was out of state, so I did the blessing. Transition set up went well. Woke up at 4:50 A.M.
Warmup? I don't need no stinking warmup.I did have 2,500 steps though. Half of them wearing a rubber suit.
