Pre-race routine:

Prerace consisted of Starbucks and a gel. I waited in my car until the very last second to head to the start.

Comments:

It was cold, miserable with driving, freezy rain and wind. I just wanted to get this thing over with. I arrived at the start about 2 minutes before the gun and asked the one friend of mine who actually posted why we were doing this. If this wasn't a Thanksgiving tradition, I would have bagged the race.

Decent run - PR (race results read 42:56 which can't be correct, so I will go with my watch time), but not a whole lot faster than the Du combined times from last week. I know I have a faster 10k in me, but it hurts too much to try again.
What would you do differently?:

Hope for lack of rain and wind.

Congrats on the PR!  Wow .... 43:36 is awesome (although I would have claimed the 42:56 'cause I am not sure I'd ever see 43:xx much less alone anything in the 42:xx range!) - and you prolly could have chaved some off of that had it not been freezing + wet.
