Subject: COJ Recipe for Friday Threads 1. Begin with March. For many of us first races are still a few weeks off. Others may have had a race or two, but not the biggie A races yet. 2. Add 1 cup nervousness wondering if we did enough this winter to be ready. 3. Add 2 cups excitement due to weather changing. Warmer temps = anticipation! 4. Blend in 1/2 cup stress caused by equipment/financial issues. Getting the bike off the trainer, getting new running shoes, registering for races, bike fittings, nutrition purchases, shopping for clothes, time to buy a wetsuit, etc. 5. Mix all ingredients into one triathlete (or soon to be) and simmer with 4 days of work. 6. Bring to near boil on Friday with anticipation of workouts/racing on the weekend. 7. Post thoughts on BT forum. 8. Relax and enjoy the chaos.
