Subject: Slick roads
As I was driving home tonight, after spending some wonderful time dancing with Lynn, I saw a little Subaru hydroplane and smash into a concrete barrier, and almost clip another car before the people came to a stop. I immediately stopped my truck, and checked on them. The car that almost got clipped took off, and all the other cars on the road just kept driving. Fortunately, the two kids (probably in their early 20s) were fine, albeit a little shook up. It didn't look like there was any major damage to their car. They had just left their parents from the restaraunt and were headed home. I couldn't help but think that one of them was meeting with future-in-laws, and the whole accident could have been much worse.

1) Drive safely, especially on this holiday weekend. I hate hearing about the number of traffic fatalities after holidays.
2) If you see an accident, stop to help. Sure, it might be incovenient and make you late, but we could all stand to use a little more good karma, right?
3) Have your tires checked! This accident wouldn't have happened if they had had some tread on their tires.

Also, you don't have to be going that fast to hydroplane... 25 - 30mph if my memory serves my right.
