Subject: So what's next?
I was just going through the TriBC race calendar and looking at other races that I know of...the big ones and ones that I'm considering (* beside the ones I'm thinking of doing)

*April 15 - Sun Run
May 6 - Vancouver International Mary/Half Mary (thought of doing it but might be in TO now)
May 13 - Cultus Lake Olympic/Sprint Triathlon
May 26 - *Whistler Try-a-Tri or Lees Trail Short Triathlon in Stanley Park
June 17 - Oliver Sprint Triathlon
June 24 - Scotiabank Half-Mary and *5k
*July 8 - Squamish Olympic Triathlon
*July 15 - Penticton Peach Classic Olympic (I would do Squamish OR Penticton - probably not both)
*Aug 18 - Kelowna Apple Try-a-Tri (just to beat last year)
Sept 2 - Summerland Sprint Triathlon
Sept 3 - Vancouver Olympic/Sprint Triathlon
*Sept 8 - XTC Vancouver Off-road Triathlon

That's sort of what I'm looking at...plans could change substantially. Not sure yet...

What are you guys thinking?

July 8 - Desert Half Iron in Osoyoos (my A Race!!)
July 29 - Salmon Arm Tri - Olympic

August 19 - Kelowna Apple Tri - Olympic (if I can't get the weekend off then Crescent Beach tri)

Oct 7 - Okanagan Int'l Marathon (full)

I have no idea on the victoria international half, the site does not get updated too often, but they have added a sprint race to the events. I have checked out the course though and it is pretty sweet. Should be a good event.

Ah the Wednesday nighters I was referring to are the TTs which I originally thought were going to be held at Iona, but are actually going to be held at UBC. I don't think either Laura or I are old enough to participate in the Wednesday nighters in Mission. (I think they are masters races.)

The Thursday nighters are held in Richmond.

From the Cycling BC road calendar:

Race: Ryders Time Trial Series
Date: Every 2nd Wednesday until Aug 22nd (Begins May 2nd)
Location:
Organizer: Chicks Cycling Club
Website: www.chickscyclingclub.com

Race: Coastal Thursday Challenge
Date: from May 3 to Aug 30 (starts May 3rd)
Location: Richmond, BC
Organizer: Chicks Cycling Club
Website: www.teamcoastalcycling.com

I don't know why the Tuesday nighters are posted there yet.

Subject: RE: So what's next? - for the Northern residents
For the Northern peoples we have a nice warm up schedule for beginners such as me:

May 27, Dawson Creek-Try-a-Tri

June 3, Fort St. John - Sprint

June 17, Prince Rupert - Olympic

July 15, Smithers - Sprint/Olympic

July 29, Prine George - Sprint/Olympic

I have only participated in a couple of Sprints so this year should be interesteing.
