So who doing the tri. This will be my last tri for the season and I think I am going to just cruise by this time and enjoy it and enjoy the atmophere and end my tri season with with an OK time but a big smile on my face and a beer at the end lol

I will be there...using this one as a tune up for Augusta, but I also love the area and just want to have fun...I'll be bringing a cooler with a few beers as well

Last year I was tempted to stop by Buddy's for a beer during the run.

I'll be racing last year's time, but I'm pretty slow by most objective standards. The swim is too variable so I'm judging my time excluding the swim.

This will be my first race, so my goal at this point is to finish it. I run the run course several times/week, I have biked some of the route (not safe to ride the whole route without lane closures). I have not done the swim, but I know where it starts and finishes...and I used to swim OWS all the time, so I'm looking forward to it.

There is a group OWS this weekend (Sunday Morning) on the course if anyone is interested.

I'm doing it! My training has been spotty due to some injuries and health issues over the summer, but I feel strong enough to finish. It might take me 2 hours, but I think I can finish.

Questions: What time is the OWS practice on Sunday? And, is anyone else as afraid as I am of riding over the metal grate on the drawbridge? I know if it's not wet, it shouldn't be too bad, but I'm still a little freaked by it. Please tell me it's nothing to worry about, or, if it is, how to manage it. Thanks!

They have it coned so narrow at the grate most people take it kind of easy. I've done this race twice and it didn't feet twitchy at all.

Great job out there guys and gals! I hope everyone had a great day, it was awesome weather, the tide/current was right on, and other than that STUPID headwind for part of the bike, all seemed to just come together.

I was impressed with what Set Up Events put together, and I will definately do more of thier races!

Times should be up by 9:00 PM tonight!

They did post them, but it was very late. I was headed to my car, and I saw they were up. Usually they post them earlier, even if all the results aren't in yet.

Nice win Ginger!

On a side note, am I the only one that had problems with the swim? I couldn't tell if it was current or just not knowing where I was going, but my time was paranormal for me...not sure if I'll be doing that one again.

Alottttt of people in every wave  started the swim off wrong by swimming to the first buoy and then letting the current sweep them to the right. I watched the Elite guys and they alll swam dead straight and  let the current take them to the docks and let the current shot them of down the the last leg as oppose to swimming in the middle of the channel like a lot of people did. I did what the pros did and I flew that first segment. My time was 25.51 but I walked most of it back to T1 but my watch time was 23:20. I enjoyed the swim.

Everyone did an AWESOME job
