1386#'s it is or used to be posted on a Penn Reels website. They gave him all sorts of free junk for telling them the reel we used and line and lure...basically anything that was involved.

It's a 16' sit-on-top kayak that I rigged up for fishin', obviously.

That Stripa' went over 20# and gave me a Nantucket Sleigh Ride for over 15:00 before I landed her! And, I was 240# at the time--a lot of weight for a fish to tow around.

BTW:
She was released and took off like a shot.

I have a beta fish named Clarence.  I got him for a Christmas present one year.  BTW, this isn't a picture of him, I just pulled it off the web.  Looks like him though.

Not a world record, but....

Max, is that a Golden Trout?

Here's my entry, though it's also not a world record.  Caught it on a 6wt fly rod that I built and it took 15 minutes to land.  (Yes, it's me in the picture, about 100lbs heavier and with much more hair.  No mullet, though - it was just pulled back...)

It's been about 9 months since I've done any striper fishing.  The "fever" isn't gone yet. By Sept, the water temps should cool down enough so the stripers should migrate into the back bays of Jersey.  In the meantime, I will attempt to post a pic.

Yeah baby... the fall run! That's what I'm talkin' about! :D

Just as we hang the wetsuits up, it will be time to grab the rod and paddle!

One of the quarries that I dive at is used for aquaculture and we grow cats and striped bass. A few striped bass got out of one of the pens and formed a little school/bait ball thing. It would be pretty cool to be swimming along and have them dive bomb you as a group.
