They're all male too. What's up with that? Next time you post a funny picture, make sure it is representative of all race and genders. And leave out the guns or else you're making a pro-NRA statement. And that plywood is offensive to the environmentalists. Red paint=communist sentiments! Being of environmental mind, I do resent the fact that they used good plywood for that. I hope it was taken off a house so it can be considered recycled. lol.

Hey, Jess, after Rita we had a lot of impoverished, displaced Cajuns down here on this end of the state, folks who had nothing left to lose, not a lot to look forward to, stranded for days before rescue teams in boats came to get them. Don't remember hearing about a single case of looting after Rita. So don't be painting our whole state with that big ol' brush of yours.

It's not as much a question of poverty, as a question of respect for others, for the law,for what is right, and for yourself.

I wasn't offended. I'm rarely offended by questions. Questions are good. You made a generality in your first statement about the picture, I made a statement in response to it. Then you made a statement implying I thought hispanic meant tan and unshaven. The I defended my observation.

I agree it's probably not a good thing to make light of shooting/killing people. BUt if you look at the sign, it seems that those guys are at least kinda making fun of themselves: "drunks with guns."

As for looting, there's OK and not OK looting. Stealing televisions from stores is not ok. That;s dumb. What are you going to do with a TV if your house is flooded? Breaking into people's houses, also not ok (probably...maybe ok if there's a desperate need for food/shelter), breaking into stores for food because you haven't eaten in a week, definitely ok.

You hit the nail on the head in one of your observations: those guys are probably making light of a not-so-light situation. And also, they're probably trying to get their picture taken (mission accomplished).
