I'm actually interested, but can't really commit this early, it will depend on my work schedule.  If you're still looking in a few months I can give you a more definitive answer   Don't they have a find a partner system on the website?  Or were you just trying this first?

I tried talking a number of my friends into doing this with me. Between the fact that they'd get dirty (oh no!) or that they might have to run a couple of miles, I didn't get any takers. A pretty common reaction was the notorious "You're crazy!" followed by them telling me that I was lucky they were even doing triathlons and I'd never talk them into doing so-called 'adventure' races. I dunno, seemed like a good time to me.

That said - if you're interested in a co-ed team, I would be up for it, depending on the date!

 Don't block the calendar off just yet.  The changes that they make can be pretty notable.  I'll be keeping my eyes open for next year's schedule.

Schlammfreund. 

It's a pretty short race (6 mi total) where each person only covers 3-4 miles of it.  I did the LA race the weekend before my 1/2 IM.

You're very warm. 

Warm as to the language?  Or on the right track?  Freund I knew was "friend" and thanks to Babelfish, schlamm appears to be "mud"... how appropriate.
