Yes, very tough. Nothing but hills. For a first HIM, I'd suggest looking elsewhere. (Sorry Larry - CGI does a great job, but the course... ) Devilman is nice and flat, so is Diamondman in the Fall.
As far as Devilman is concerned, my mom always said "if you can't say something nice", well, you know the rest.
um....I'm doing the Devilman as my first HIM.....is that a bad idea?
The good news is that there are plenty of port-a-potties at Devilman. The bad news is that the port-a-potties are often compared (sometimes favorably ) to the lake in which the swim is held.
I did the race in the original venue (which had it's own set of problems ), so I haven't had to deal with what I've heard and read (including an over abundance snakes, horrible stench, submerged stumps, stumps above the water line, a brown "thickness" to the water, etc... ). It's pretty well documented so if you do a search either here or on slowtwitch.com it'll come up. |
