I get emails daily from dog rescue groups and there are three 5 month old puppies that will be put down today if they don't get a rescue/foster and I told her if they didn't find anyone else to take them I could foster one. It looks like they only found a place for one so I may have to take a puppy. Yipes!! What was I thinking??? |

Man, I'd love to but blue heelers probably aren't a good fit with our young kids, and my wife is really not big on the idea. I sure hope they're able to find them good homes, though. Expert 1091 Madison | Subject: RE: So Quiet this Thursday It is hard to foster when you have kids too, they have to get used to the idea that yes the dog is adorable but we will have to find a home other than ours for it/them. Jasper was actually my first foster dog and you see how that turned out It is amazing how many great dogs are ending up in shelters right now. I almost hate to check my email anymore because I get so many messages about dogs and puppies needing rescue from pounds. I think the figure now is in the United States 3-4 million dogs are euthanized in shelters. That's over 300/hour if they euthanized 24 hours a day. Depressing, huh. If you see your future running partner here you can contact Anissa Sadeghi She is trying to get all the dogs out. I haven't gotten an email from her since this morning so I don't know what the status is for them. It looks like their deadline has been extended for a couple more days though.
