At some schools that would be a 3 day in-school suspension minimum and possibly removal from the team.  Just because it implies the language.  Depends upon the coach, other students, etc....

I guess I'm glad my kids don't go to a school like that.....or I'd have to tell the principal we thought it stood for Big Animal Making Friends and tell him to STFU.  Laughing

It all depends upon who is on the school board and who complains the loudest.  I don't have a problem with it, but their are some very double standard people that would cause problems.

I'm doing XC for the first time this fall. I'd love to wear this but it'd be a little embarrassing to wear it in the BOP unless we are actually talking about Canada, then I might consider.

Not worried......and don't care....at all.

I'd use it as a lesson for my kids on how stupid some people can be.

Hell, it should be on the wall at every gym class in the country.

As a law enforcement officer (?) you wouldn't care if your kids broke the rules (if it was in fact a rule)? You would instead teach them that the person who made the rule is "stupid"?
Interesting.

It's not nearly as interesting as you're trying to make it since it isn't against any rules.

What was said is that someone may complain.....and I said I wouldn't care and I would use that as a lesson that some people are stupid.

Nice try. Laughing

Maybe I'll use this thread as a lesson too. Cool

Wow, really?

I can't even fathom that.

Do you ever break any "rules" of any kind?

But what if it WAS a rule? Or someone decided after they saw the headband that it should be a rule?

Because that happened to me... I got in trouble in the 7th grade for wearing a shirt that had the word "suck" on it. The principal deemed "suck" to be a curse word and I had to turn it inside out or be sent home. Now technically the word "suck" is not a curse word, at least in my vocabulary, but since it was the principal there was nothing I could do.

Just curious what you'd do in the same type of situation.

I don't like hypotheticals because it just leads to more hypothetical and eventually it just becomes dumber than the original. But since you asked........

I can only assume it would become a rule over what the common idea of what the letters are an acronym for.  And if that was the case then we'd have a discussion about how those things are used as acronyms because they are infinitely less offensive than saying the words......and if it actually used the words it would indeed be something we wouldn't do.

Then I'd ask her if she wanted to have some fun.......and we'd go to the T-Shirt shop and get a bright punk shirt with white letters that were TPIAFDA.  I would  tell my daughter that the letters were only between her and I and she could never tell anyone what they meant to us.  Now we'd have a delicious inside joke like many others we share and it would serve to make our bond even stronger than it is.  She'd wear it to school and think of the laugh we shared and go about her day........while the principal spent the better part of his day googling TPIAFDA to find the violation.....and he'd never in a million years come up with what my daughter and I know it is........

The Principal Is A Fu%&^ng Dumb Azz.  Laughing
