Anyone heading down early for LG, and want to meet up Friday for a big pasta lunch around noon- to one-ish?  My support staff (the wife) will be with me.

Gordy's in LG will be doing a pre-race pasta buffet, but it doesn't start until 5 and i typically do my big meal at lunch and an all-liquid (smoothie) dinner the night before a race.

I won't be down there early enough to do lunch.

I would suggest meeting up afterwards, but given this is my first HIM I really don't have a clue when I will finish. Hopefully before they break down transition .

First-timer here, too - sounds like there are several of us at this race!  An after-race meetup would be fun (assuming i can still stand at that point).  My wife traditionally takes me out for pancakes after a race - i haven't checked where the nearest pancake place would be...

I'm not real sure what my Friday plans are. I'd have to take a day off of work to head down there early. But I am mos' definitely interested in an after race get together. It has to be at least 4:10 after the start though.

There's a Perkins in Delavan near Hwy 50 & I-43 (pancakes!), and a Rocky's in Delafield near I-94 & Hwy 83 (pan pizza!)

Just throwin' out some ideas...

I did the math and if I come in at 6:00, I will be happy.  The crapshoot for me is the run, well and the swim, and maybe the bike!  If you find a place in Fontana us stragglers can always join you when we are done.

This being my first half, i'm not certain when i'm going to be coming in - but on the off chance that i don't get chicked by you i'll absolutely wait around.  Mulling about the finish area is part of the whole experience!

Rocky's menu says they have beer "at selected locations," but doesn't say what locations have it.  They also don't clarify whether it's actually beer, or just Miller products Yell.

Follow-up to my earlier post - just searched the City of Delafield's website, and the Rocky's there has a class B beer license...

Ah people on BT are too nice. If I made that post on ST I'd get my e-a$$ handed to me in about 3 seconds, complete with an athlinks, credit and criminal history all posted in the thread. Maybe you're just not sayin' what you're thinkin', but 4:10 is P-R-O quality. Of course, I trickily said "at least" 4:10, so you can't pin me down! But yeah I better come clean before race day so I'll be less embarrassed when not one of the digits in 4:10 matches my time.

So, no one wins the September edition of the catch-dave-in-a-lie sweepstakes. Tune in next month for another chance to win!
