I agree Matt. No rankings until week 5. Especially since these determine bowl and leapfrogging someone above you usually requires a loss. If you start the season ranked and mediocre your way along, you stay ranked. Hate that.

After watching a middle of the Mountain West Air Force team move the ball like this, I think some voters may have been premature in dropping USC to #2. I know Alabama is going to be good, but that win isn't as impressive as the media lead us to believe.

The kicker was on par with Charlie Brown in the peanuts comics. Perfect. Paterno would be rolling in his grave, but he's nervous about being face down.

ESPN has an incredible IT department, a friend of a friend works there. He basically administers a database and writes queries which are available to pull stats by criteria. So, you want to know how well a particular player does in 3rd and 7 in a rainy windy stadium with an open end facing south? Cick, bam, boom!

He got me a behind the scenes tour there. Very cool to be on the set of SportsCenter, NFL Live (and most other panel programs) ESPN news and seeing the tape vault and the Emmy award trophy case.

Without the support of seeming Ike she knows her business, she's just another hottie on camera. But yah; that works too.

How can you in good conscience call anything a pathetic mess after the Pitt game this week?

Apparently the announcer is too since they have mentioned that call 3 times since it was made. I understand that bad calls are part of the game. Officials miss things. The game moves fast. Calling something that wasn't there is a different level of ineptitude. This was a cringe worthy call that you would expect from NFL replacement refs.

That, good sir, is an insult to consider that a game. I'm doubtful of my alma mater's chances against Savannah St.

I played intramural. Good thing we were never tested for PEDs. Mother's little helpers should have been our team name.

Not a fan of the new rule that requires a player to come out for a play if his helmet comes off during play. I'm guessing a QB is pulled for a critical play in a big game at some point this season. It's a little over the top when helmets are just held on by snaps.

Now I see why SEC teams don't need to play anyone in the non-conference. With how good the conference is, teams like Louisiana-Monroe wouldn't have a chance against a powerhouse like Arkansas. Wait.........

So it looks like the Pac-12 was either horrible or great. 6-1 vs BCS conference teams, including 3 upsets of ranked teams. 3-1 vs non-BCS teams including losing to FCS Sac St and squeaking by 2 other FCS teams.

Does Penn State still deserve all the hate? Theyve lost everything. Their coach is dead, their players deserted, they lost $40MM before the civil suits.

I'm just wondering if the hate will cause other programs to hide similar behavior when they find it.
