Hypocrisy, it seems lost during election years. That, and hyperbole.

In our hyper partisan world no matter what happens its always the other guys' fault.  I long for the day that we have a politician who actually says "yeah, i messed up" (on either side).  I'm not holding my breath.

Look at all of the criticism Christie got for just saying Obama was doing a good job in the aftermath of Sandy.  You cant even do that anymore either (say the other side did something right)

Elections aren't about how good I am, it's about how bad the other guy is.

Which is why most people I know are voting not based on who they feel is the best candidate, rather, who is the least bad candidate.

`Most people aren't proud to be on SNAP and government assistance and would rather be working and off it.'

This is not a truth from what I have seen locally and trying to deal with running a small manufacturing facility.  They don't want to work overtime, because it might or will cause problems with their food stamps, or getting the gas and electrical bills paid by other programs.  Others will work for a few weeks to say they tried to work, and go back on unemployment.

Nope, but his policies and "suggestions" to the EPA and other regulatory agencies can sure affect gas prices almost as much as supply does.

ARE FREAKIN' KIDDING ME?!!!!  I'm so totally unelectable!  I have five qualities that distinctly disqualify me:

  1. I'm not that good a liar.
  2. I have a sense of humor.
  3. I have no interest in enforcing a lifestyle or promoting an agenda on anyone.
  4. I've lived my life like I would never run for office, so my closet of skeletons runneth over.
  5. I'm the wrong religion.

You guys don't get it - I wouldn't WANT your vote!  Despite the phrase, "win the election", in the end, you're not a winner, you're a loser.  You become a slave to the people, to the media, to the pundits and criticism.  You're coworkers are a-holes (Congress), and you're taking over in a pretty crappy financial situation.  The pressure... The demands...  The hours...  The Secret Service always watching over you...  Who would want it?

Sure the pay (I believe) $250,000 is good, but is it even worth it?  "Most powerful man in the free world"...  But is there even a private room in the White House without cameras where you can download a take care of business with some decent porn?  Can you unload the kids at a sitter and throw down on the kictchen table for some pizza?

Nah.  Not for me.  Wink

I know factory workers who were willing to work weekends for free because owner/president said sky is falling.  reality it was the off season for a candy company and profits went from 800,000 to 700,000 for the month.

People rather have there jobs than lose it.  I will admit I know several salaried people who rather get paid less and not have to work 50 to 60 hours a week and just work 40.

Bah, you got my vote.

Mine too.

Nah.  Not for me.  Wink

But, but, but ... THE WOMEN!  Think of it!

Only if I get to pick the interns.  (I would need a binder full of women' for the job!)  If it's some Chief of Staff or White House HR Dept. that picks them and the best you get is Monica Lewinsky-types, then FORGET IT!

That was terrible.  Lord please forgive me and may God bless all them little pygmies in New Guinea.  Bad BFD!  Bad BFD!
