Pro 6011 Camp Hill, Pennsylvania | Subject: RE: USAT Oly & Sprint Nationals 2013 & 2014... I believe registration opens in January. ETA: I don't know how fast it sells out, but that's one of the advantages of qualifying through a late season race this year. You can't registered unless you've already qualified.

Andi You don't think Milwaukee will be a good venue? My wife and I rode there in 2003 for Harley Davidson's 100th Anniversary, which was centered on the Summerfest Grounds where the race is supposed to be centered, and it was a fantastic city and experience. |

I'm sure as hell not going to spend $2K+ to travel to Mil. when I can go somewhere else much more desirable for the same price or less, like San Diego... Get serious, Mil. isn't a "destination" to spend your $ on. If I wanted to go to Worlds, sure, I'd go cause I'd have to. But I don't care so not gonna do it. Be curious if enrollment is the same as Burlinton. May be close but I doubt as solid. Sold out oly like Burlington? I'd be surprised. For the record I qual. for Alabama in 2010 and didn't do that one and it's 2 hours away. That was an even worse location choice. Andi Edited by Anditrigirl 2012-11-20 10:02 PM |

Andi I don't know much about Milwaukee, never been there, but I know two people who's jobs have taken them all over the US and they both say they'd move back to Milwaukee before any of the others. Not that this makes Milwaukee a tourist destination but it surprised me given the other places they've been (Scottsdale, Portland, Southern Cal, Charlotte, Orlando, Philly). Not that I'll qualify but if I did I'd probably do Chicago for a few days, maybe check out Madison and Milwaukee for the race weekend. |

I am excited also, born and raised in Milwaukee and cannot wait to see if what I did this summer qualified me. Why would you not want to go somewhere with Harley-Davidson and beer? If you don't want to go, fine, but it really is a very cool city. And, I will have somewhere to stay, 'cause my dad still lives around there! I am counting on it selling out, for sure. |

Have to second that - I suspect we wouldn't really want to share space with you at any race, be it WI or San Diego. Thankfully you 'don't care' about going to worlds, cuz if you did, you might be really surly. Although how Burlington makes your list of acceptable cities while Wisconsin does make me almost curious enough to want to be at a race with you despite your pretentious attitude. almost |
