Subject: Which Movie Should I See Tomorrow?

Tomorrow's Veteran's Day, I'm off, the wife and kids aren't so it's a REAL holiday.

Thought about hitting the gym then going for a ride, but I have to run twenty on Saturday, probably be better off going sedentary for a day. Probably sleep in a little, run some errands, grab some carbs for lunch then hit the theaters, rare chance to see a non-animated feature. Problem is, nothing playing stands out. So give me some feedback, listing my possibilities, those that are actually playing here and have some appeal to me, add if you would.

You're welcome to add your review as well..

I hate going to the movies when its not something I REALLY want to see. I usually like what I see, but I have to be motivated to go.

Forget the movies and go visit your local.......(pause for throat clearing)

Jarhead. I saw a 'making of' last week and it looks really good.

Appropriate to the holiday, too.

Enjoy your day!

FlightPlan is still out there? Wow.
Betsy I hate to DISAGREE, but with all due respect I think that was a rental at best. The plot was good but it painted the whole story into a corner and the only way out was ridiculous. Jodi did a fantastic job with the material she was given, which was so-so. Ditto the Pilot. The rest were...eh.

I just looked, and around here Wedding Crashers is at the budget theaters. I've heard that is good, and not necessarily "family" fare, so it would be a little indulgence for you since you're a bachelor for the day.

Wedding Crashers is hilarious. DVD release Jan 3rd. I would go see Jarhead. I get pumped to see it because in the trailer they play that Kanye West song. Yeah, I love my rap. At least my Kanye West rap. I vote for Jarhead. What up yo? You down with that?

Jarheads gets lukewarm reviews at best. Might not be a bad choice for Veterans Day, though.

The Weather Man stars Nick Cage, who's a personal favorite. Also has lukewarm reviews, primarily because it's a downer of a movie.

Whoever put Chicken Little down, pay attention. I have two 9-yos and we go see all the kids' movies the weekend they're released.

The budget theatre closed last week, so no Wedding Crashers. Part of a corporate takeover, they figured we didn't need six multiplexes in a community of 100,000 people.

No one's seen Good Night, Good Luck?

I heard Good Night, Good luck was boring. Decent, but boring.

What's boring for a twenty-something YO hot chick might be entertaining for an old geezer like me.

Yeah, what they said! Make up your own mind. Sometimes I wonder how you people decide when to go to the bathroom without first posting the question here on BT.

A 55 y/o woman told me it was boring. Said she kept nodding off. But as 26 y/o, yes, I think it looks SUPER boring!

Maybe this 55YO just isn't getting her full 10 hours of sleep.

Hey, bozo, it's one thing to ask for opinions, something else to ask someone else to decide what's in your heart. Just for that crack, no bathroom for you until Monday. And try to come up with something original next time. (alsoj/k)

courtney_leone - 2005-11-10 2:45 PM I change my vote. I'd go see Derailed. Clive Owen is so sexy. And what about Harry Potter? Opens November 18th! I think.

Looks like Derailed is getting the worst reviews of any on the list:

This murky psychological suspenser manages the tricky feat of being as predictable as it is finally preposterous.

Kind of hard here to see a movie tomorrow that doesn't open until November 18th. Plus my kids would kill me if I saw Harry Pothead without them.
