I'm holding out hope that they bring back the redhead maid from first season of American Horror Story into this season.  The young maid, not the old one.

I loved American Horror Story last season but I can't decide yet if I like this season. It just seems like the writers are trying to cram together every possible horror trope-- possession, alien abduction, serial killer, slasher, weird Nazi death camp doctor, etc.-- into one barely coherent storyline. The acting is still top notch and it's compelling to watch but it all just seems a bit... much. I hope they tie it all together by season's end.

That's why I'm hoping for a return of the hot maid.  If it doesn't happen soon, I will stop watching this season.

Exactly. That's when the X-Files lost me, too. It was so much more interesting when each entire episode would focus on a single paranormal event or phenomenon.

This season, AHS seems more like a paranormal fireworks show.

I'm good with everything but the aliens.  Clearly where there are nuns and priests there is possession, duh!

We have not seen last nights episode yet, looking forward to it.  I like that there are some previous actors and new ones though that hot redheaded maid would have made a great demonic nun.

Big Appa - 2013-01-09 4:06 PM I haven't got into Justified yet its good?

This is one of my favorite shows on television right now. The writing is top-notch and Timothy Oliphant can deliver a scathing insult in a southern drawl like no-one. It plays with a theme of people doing evil for the right reasons (in their own minds) that I enjoyed so much from the Sheild...the acting is fabulous. It is based on a short story by Elmore Leonard (he writes wickedly funny caper novels) and is produced by him and his son.

Give it a try - totally worth it for me.

(In full disclosure, I don't watch it live - I have been watching on Netflix)

No cable, just Netflix.  So always behind but that's no problem.  Not much time to watch anyway.  Love Sons, Archer, the League and just discovered Wilfred.  Hilarious!

I love AHS!  It's campy, sure, but it's good TV.  I'd have to give a slight nod to last year's version over this year's, but both are good.

I love AHS, especially last year, but this year has lost me a bit. I have not seen all of this seasons episodes but the lack of cohesion of a "future storyline" leaves me wanting. They could have done without that future/present state storyline completely and just left it in the past. I do love the acting and think it is all very well done but as others mentioned, the story is a bit to fragmented for me.

Between FX and AMC (walking dead) who needs prime time tv shows?

I like the American Horror story  especially last season.  It helped me go to sleep (not because it was boring but because it was "comforting", for lack of a better term).  I've watch the walking dead seasons about 10 times because it helps me go to sleep.  I gave Sons of Anarchy a try but never could get into it.  I find I'm MUCH more entertained by the FX shows and AMC shows than any of the major networks programing.  They've both really stepped it up a notch.

I'd like to give Justified and The Americans a try, just haven't found the time.

The first one was like that as well, remember?  I think that is the AHS theme and will likely be the case with the next one as well.

x2

I almost gave up on AHS this season. But decided to stick it out, since it's only a 13 episode season.
