Is your life busy right now!?

Its a busy season for law enforcement.

Shoplifting is up, domestic violence is up (so much for peace on earth,) burglaries are up, robberies are probably up, plenty of traffic and fighting over parking spaces so collisions increase proportionately....

lots of extra special events to work....

The overtime checks are usually pretty good though and I'm off X-mas and New Years this year (woo-hoo.)

ACK! You just challenged the "Murphy's Law Gods"...you know that, don't you? next thing we'll hear from you is a 48-hour overtime shift with no sleep....

My ex husband is a firefighter....and if wasn't having shift changes on the one year he acutually got a holiday off that kept him working it was that little pain in the a** called "mandatory overtime" that would keep him home holidays when someone else would call in sick on their holiday shift.

as for busy....I'm up to my eyeballs in alligators but having a blast....and keeping my focus on what's important.....my family...so will be leaving work at the door, taking some time and enjoying the holidays with friends and family....(holy CRAP! I think I just caught some Christmas Spirit!)
