Subject: RE: Folly Quarter Road Repaving UPDATEHaving the only reply to my own thread is so lame, but here goes. I drove Folly Quarter Road last night and the re-paving is done. It's actually quite smooth. For a re-paving job, it didn't feel too bumpy in the car and the road is clean - I didn't hear any gravel hitting the bottom of the car. In addition to paving over some cracked and sinking parts of the road, they also paved over some previous patchwork that was pretty bumpy, so they actually made improvements. The ones that I think make the biggest impact are the patches that were previously on the southeast-bound (heading back to the park) side of Folly Quarter going downhill from the Jumpers Hill Road intersection, and a patched section on the northwest-bound side right before Buckskin Lake. The timing wasn't great, but kudos to Howard County for some decent road work. |
