Subject: Road rash vent

Raining lightly tonight, ride around corner of neighborhood and there is a lady who is stopped in the road getting her mail (minvan).  Another minivan passes and goes in my lane as I round the corner (corner without stop sign-I was abiding the law she was in my lane).  I touch the brakes and go down ouch as I round the turn to avoid her!  happens and it hurts sometimes.  Fault I don't know, it was my lane but I am not pinning the blame I touched the brakes on wet pavement.  My shorts are toast, my side, arm, leg are raw and here goes my vent!

What really gets me is some guy in my neighborhood is riding his bike at 10:30 PM on the golf course, that I used to run on, without a light and runs through yellow warning tape hits some bad golf cart path that is under construction and winds up a quadriplegic.  He now sues golf course because he can't earn a living and I can't run on the golf course because people will not shoulder their part of the blame.  What is up with that!

Oh well, I will lick my wounds, but I still can't run on the golf course that is in my back yards but the golfers can go in my yard for their lost balls!

Thanks for letting me vent

You have to have some nasty road rash for them to put in a vent. Wow

first vent, well justified.... Although a few PICS for those of us sick in nature would be appreciated.

Second vent: the guy is now a quadriplegic and you can run anytime/anywhere you want. Maybe not now on the golf course, but you get the point. Didn't you know that "personal accountability" is the new lost art of our country? It is OK legally to now say that it is always someone elses fault and you are always a "victim" in some fashion or another.
